FREE Download: What's Your Ayurvedic Type Quiz & Learn your 5 Dosha Power Foods

As I'm sure you've all noticed, at the bottom of each recipe I post to the blog I add a little guide for how to adjust for each Ayurvedic dosha (Vata, Pitta and Kapha). Wouldn't you like to know which variation is best for you???

(If you're thinking, "Dosha-whaaa?"...go read What is Ayurveda? What you need to know to decode your health then come on back for the good stuff.)

Well besides the obvious (book a consultation with me) to be absolutely sure about your constitution, you can now take my handy "What's Your Ayurvedic Type" Quiz! I've been reluctant to post a quiz because I wanted to be sure it was really right on the money. As a girl who followed a solely Pitta reducing diet for 4 years due to self-diagnosis before discovering I had LOTS of Vata, I know how important it is to get an accurate picture of your doshas before you start catering your diet to a particular dosha.

I've tested lots of other online & hardcopy dosha tests, took the most accurate I could find, blended the best of each and made this quiz. I've been refining this quiz over this past Spring cleanse season, and now feel really confident that this quiz will give you an accurate picture of what Ayurvedic doshas make up your constitution. And once you know your doshas, you can put all the information on this blog to use, so that your mind is calm and clear and your body moving/feeling/looking its best.

For those of you who know your doshas inside and out already, I've included my favorite Power Foods for each dosha! These little lists will help you cut to the chase when you're at the grocery store/farmers market and pick up the items that are most important for your health & happiness.

So you're ready to learn about your constitution? To learn the insider's guide to you? To get the sneak peek on your health & happiness recipe?

Enter your email address and first name below and you're just a couple clicks away. Plus, you'll receive the monthly San Franshakti newsletter with blog updates, event announcements, inspiration and more. (and of course, your email is safe with me- have no fear)

In the comments below, I'd love to hear from you once you're done with the quiz:

  • What is your primary dosha(s)?
  • Is it what you guessed they'd be?
  • Which of your Power Foods are you most excited about eating/trying and how do you plan on eating them?

I look forward to hearing from you! The information you share will help me cater my Ayurvedic online goodness to best suit your constitutions, so don't be shy ;)

  2. Hi Kate,
I've submitted my info twice now with no follow up email in my inbox. Do you think the link is working? Very interested in seeing your quiz, since I have always gotten mixed results with other quizzes. I found your site through your kitchari video and am having fun exploring it!!!

  3. Hi Faith,

Hmmm...my guess is that it's getting caught in your spam. You'll want to add my email address to your contacts as well: yoginikate@gmail.com. If you don't find the email in your spam folder, then just send me an email and I'll send you the quiz.

Also, something to know is that if imbalance has been around for a long time (often because of past serious illness, trauma, eating disorders) the doshas can look unclear in one's constitution. That's when it's a good time to either a) think about what you were most like as a kid or pre-trauma or b) talk to a practitioner.

I hope this quiz brings you clarity and insight on your doshas!

  4. Yep. You were right!! It was in my spam. Now I'm on the list though and looking forward to keeping up with your blogs and recipes. Thanks for the dosha insight as well. I will try approaching things from my childhood perspective. Great insight!!
