Beans, beautiful beans! :)
Between buses on my way home from mysore, I thought I'd look around this little shop in Chinatown (at stockton & clay), and what did I find... beans, beautiful beans! The green in the back row are whole mung beans and to its left, the yellow are split mung beans. I love how it's "so hard to find" mung beans in a western market (unless you're at Whole Foods or Rainbow) but easy at any Asian store. With all the hands that were going into these piles of beans, I'm sure to wash my beans verrry well, but they still taste great.
